⁠The best carbs you can eat are what I call, plant carbs. These are starchy veggies, fruits, and whole grains. These have numerous benefits as they are generally low GI foods:⁠ ⁠

📌 increases feeling of being full for longer periods, helping with weight management/loss⁠

📌 slowly increases blood sugar giving you sustained energy instead a spike and crash⁠

📌 low GI foods like these can decrease acne issues ⁠

📌 help with babies having a decreased risk of obesity and diabetes⁠

📌 improve energy levels during long sport events and training periods ⁠ ⁠

Which foods should you eat more of? Try these:⁠

📍 sweet potatoes, especially boiled, as fries, or not overly baked⁠

📍 grainy breads, not just whole grain but you can SEE the seeds and grains⁠

📍 black rice, basmati rice, brown rice⁠

📍 beans and legumes - lentils, navy beans, black eye peas, etc⁠

📍 oatmeal⁠
